Instead of billing based on minutes of sent footage like others do, we simply charge hourly video editing rates. Each redaction scene can be quite different. For example, a school hallway with minimal students takes less time to edit than a scene set in a crowded bus or lunch room. Motionless security camera footage requires different editing than a student's cell phone footage. How many students need to be shown? Is there excessive movement, such as a fight that needs to be blurred?These variables all require different time considerations. That said, this allows us to shine in both delivery speed and cost to you.

By focusing on high-quality redaction techniques, we help educational institutions protect their students' privacy while delivering polished, professional content.We’re looking for a Confidential Video Redaction Editor who is passionate about video editing and is meticulous about maintaining confidentiality. In this role, you'll be editing and redacting videos to ensure that sensitive information is properly obscured, all while ensuring top-notch quality and precision in the final product.What You'll Be DoingSyncing Time Codes: Adjust and align video timecodes with precision to ensure seamless transitions and smooth edits across various clips. This task is critical for maintaining the integrity of the final content, especially when working with multiple video sources.Audio Level Adjustment: Edit and balance audio levels to ensure clarity without exposing any sensitive verbal content. You'll be making adjustments so that the audio is clear and intelligible while safeguarding any confidential spoken details.Video Redaction: Apply advanced video redaction techniques using Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects to blur or obscure faces, names, and other personal identifiers in educational videos. This is your primary responsibility—ensuring that no private information is left visible or audible in the final product.Quality Control: Conduct thorough quality checks to ensure that every redaction is flawless. You should be proficient in using Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, and After Effects for both editing and applying redactions.Attention to Detail: A keen eye for spotting sensitive information that needs to be redacted, whether it’s visible in video footage or present in the audio. You’ll need to ensure every detail is accounted for.Experience with Redaction Editing: Comfort and experience in applying redaction techniques—blurring faces, masking names, and obscuring other identifiable information in educational videos. Your work will directly impact the privacy of students and educators.Technical Precision: Expertise in syncing time codes and adjusting audio levels to ensure that all elements of the video are correctly aligned and optimized, contributing to a polished, professional final product.Knowledge of Privacy Regulations: A solid understanding of FERPA and other relevant privacy laws that govern the handling of educational content.
